Terms of use.

These terms govern your use of OpportunityPilot ("the site", "we", "us"). By using the site or creating an account you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not use the site.
1. What the site is (and is not)
We publish information about scholarships, jobs, visa-related information, grants and similar opportunities, plus a community Talent Hub, client gigs, messaging and a shop. We are not an employer, recruiter acting on your behalf, scholarship provider, immigration authority, law firm, or visa or education agent unless we clearly say so for a specific service. Opportunity listings are summaries with links to official sources. Requirements, deadlines and eligibility can change: always confirm on the official website before you apply, pay or travel. We do not guarantee that any listing is open, accurate or suitable, or that you will be accepted, hired or approved.
2. Accounts
You must be at least 18 and give accurate information. You are responsible for your account and for keeping your password secret. Tell us immediately if you think someone else has used your account. One person, one account. We may suspend or close accounts that break these terms.
3. Your content and conduct
You keep ownership of what you post (profiles, links, images, gigs, messages, reviews) and you give us a non-exclusive licence to host and display it on the site and to promote the site. You promise that you have the right to post it and that it is truthful. You must not: post false, misleading, illegal, hateful, harassing or sexually explicit content; impersonate anyone; post fake reviews; ask for or send money for a job, scholarship, visa or immigration outcome; collect other people's data or spam them; upload malware; try to access accounts or systems that are not yours; or use the site to circumvent our fees or rules. We may remove content and suspend accounts that break these rules, and we may report serious abuse to the authorities.
4. Talent Hub, gigs and messaging
The Talent Hub lets members publish profiles, lets clients post gigs and lets the two talk and send proposals. We provide the platform only. We are not a party to any agreement between a client and a talent, we do not employ or supervise either side, and we do not guarantee the quality, safety or legality of any work, profile, gig or person. Talent are independent professionals, not our employees. Clients and talent are responsible for agreeing scope, price, deadlines, payment terms and any contract, for taxes, and for deciding whether to work together. A "Verified" badge means we checked the basic details we say we checked at the time; it is not a guarantee or endorsement.
Keep conversations on the platform where possible. Never pay a fee to be hired and never share bank details, passwords or identity documents in a first conversation. Report anything suspicious using the report buttons. Reviews may be left only by clients who hired the talent through the platform, and must be honest and based on real experience. We may hide reviews that break these terms. Payments between clients and talent are arranged by them directly; we do not hold or guarantee those payments.
5. Shop purchases and payments
Products sold in the shop are one-time purchases. Prices are shown before you pay. We accept payment through Paystack and, where offered, manual bank transfer. An order is complete when your payment is confirmed. Digital products are for your personal use: you may not resell, share or publish them without our written permission. Delivery, cancellation and refunds are explained in our Shop policy, which forms part of these terms. We may refuse or cancel an order if we suspect fraud or an error in the price or stock.
6. Memberships and fees
Some features may require a paid plan. The price, what is included and the length of access are shown before you pay. Features and prices may change; changes do not affect access you have already paid for during the paid period.
7. Advertising, sponsors and links
The site may show advertising and sponsored content, always labelled as such. We are not responsible for the content or practices of advertisers, sponsors or other websites we link to, and a link or advert is not an endorsement. Sponsorship does not change how we rate or list opportunities.
8. Intellectual property
The site design, text we write and our logo belong to us or our licensors. You may share links to our pages and quote short extracts with credit. You may not copy the site, scrape it in bulk or reuse its content commercially without permission.
9. Disclaimers and limits of liability
The site is provided "as is" and "as available". To the fullest extent the law allows, we do not promise that it will be uninterrupted or error-free and we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, lost opportunities, lost profits, or for losses caused by relying on a listing, by a dispute between members, or by third-party websites or services. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, such as for fraud or for death or personal injury caused by negligence.
10. Ending your use
You can stop using the site and ask us to delete your account at any time. We may suspend or end access if you break these terms or to protect other people. Sections that by their nature should continue (for example intellectual property, disclaimers and liability) continue after your account ends.
11. Changes and governing law
We may update these terms and will change the date above when we do. Continuing to use the site after an update means you accept it. These terms are governed by the law of the country where the site's operator is established, and the courts there can hear disputes, unless the law gives you the right to go elsewhere.
