PROTECT YOURSELF
Good opportunities.
Careful decisions.
International job and relocation searches attract scammers. Take time to check every claim before sharing sensitive documents or paying money.
Warning signs
- A person guarantees a visa, job offer, scholarship or immigration approval.
- You are asked to pay an individual through an unusual channel to “secure” a job or scholarship.
- The recruiter uses a free email address while claiming to represent a major employer, or the vacancy cannot be found on the employer's official careers page.
- The offer pressures you to act immediately or requests passwords, banking PINs or one-time codes.
- The opportunity has no verifiable provider, eligibility rules or official application instructions.
Safer steps
- Open the provider's official website yourself rather than trusting a forwarded link.
- Confirm the recruiter, employer, vacancy and relevant sponsorship rules independently.
- Check immigration information with the relevant government authority.
- Never share account passwords or one-time security codes.
